World Youth Skills Day

In its resolution the United Nations General Assembly Recognizes that the fostering of the acquisition of skills by youth would enhance their ability to make informed choices with regard to life and work and empower them to gain access to changing labour markets. It calls on all Member States, organizations of the United Nations system and other international and regional organizations as well as civil society, including youth-led organizations, to commemorate World Youth Skills Day in an appropriate manner, in accordance with national priorities, including through education, campaigns, volunteering and public awareness-raising activities; and Stresses that the costs of all activities that may arise from the implementation of the present resolution should be met from voluntary contributions.
