The annual Child Protection Week campaign this year started on Sunday 29 May to 05 June 2016 under the theme “Let Us All Protect Children To Move South Africa Forward“.
Since its inception in 1997, the Child Protection Week programme has and continues to raise awareness, educate and mobilise all sectors of the society to holistically develop, care and protect children.
Children affected by HIV are often more vulnerable to violence and abuse. There is a urgent need to priorities children affected and recognize their specific needs.
The RIATT-ESA call to action- "Time to step up" highlights important steps needed to priorities these children.
