Social protection and children's care

The Centre for Social Protection (CSP) and The EveryChild Coalition for Children Without Parental Care have developed concept note for researching the links between social protection and children’s care.

Social protection has the potential to play an important role in preventing the loss of parental care, or to support the provision of adequate alternative care to children. It is widely recognized that the most preferable form of such alternative care is kinship care or care within a family setting, such as foster care (UN 2010).

The concept note is available here.
